BANJUL MISSION

Banjul Mission: Brain, in collaboration with the University of The Gambia Medical Students' Association (UniGaMSA) and EFSTH Neurosurgery unit, hosted a seminar at the University of The Gambia on neuroanatomy and the contributions of the Swedish African Neurosurgical Collaboration (SANC) in The Gambia and Africa at large. The event, which brought together medical students, faculty, and healthcare professionals, featured speakers like Dr. Jimmy Sundblom, a neurosurgeon, and Dr. Ebrima Manneh, a neurosurgery resident, who shared their expertise and experiences. The seminar emphasized the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing in medical education and healthcare. It also highlighted SANC’s impactful work in addressing neurosurgical challenges in under-resourced settings. Banjul Mission: Brain and UniGaMSA expressed gratitude to the speakers for their dedication to improving healthcare in The Gambia and beyond.
