Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) is a tertiary referral hospital in Banjul, the capital city of The Gambia. It is the largest hospital in the country, originally founded by British colonialists in 1853. Until 2013, it was known as the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH).

Cardiology
All cardiologists in the branch of medicine study the disorders of the heart, but the study of adult and child heart disorders each require different training pathways. Therefore, an adult cardiologist (often simply called "cardiologist") is inadequately trained to take care of children, and pediatric cardiologists are not trained to treat adult heart disease.

4. WORKING HOURS:
4.1. Routine Services from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, five days a week from Monday to Friday as routine hours work.
4.2. Resident/ Medical Officer is on-call round the clock daily – seven days a week.
4.3. Technicians work eight hours daily, divided into three shifts.
